Peace Supa, it’s been a minute since we chopped it up. How has everything been and what’s new?

Man, everything has been good. We just celebrated our 16 year Radio Supa Show / Station anniversary. We have had an incredible list of guest interviews and currently air on over 100 other radio platforms.

You're a Radio Host first but some people don’t know you offer PR services. Mind breaking down the PR services that you and your team offer?

Yes we do incredible work. I work to take an artist from an independent position to introduce them to a greater level of national exposure through national radio interviews, national magazine placement, radio song campaigns and social media promotion. Working with an individual, I ensure that we will move the career of any artist we work with forward.

For independent artists especially, please explain the importance of a PR.

Man. Good PR literally could mean the difference between an individual finding success in the industry and not finding it. Even in addition to a manager, who usually will focus on direct artist related concerns. Good PR will directly put clients in the position they need to be in to gain visibility and to raise the value of the client's brand. I started out in music as an emcee and I spent most of my career in the major music industry. So when I put together the systems I operate, (Label, Radio Platform, PR Service) I did so in a way that would create a path from the ground level to a place where the client would be receiving eyes from people in the industry.

Who are some of the clients or projects (PR wise) that you have worked with and or are currently working with?

We have done placements for West Coast Legend Kokane, Young Zee of the Outsidaz, Rahiem of the Furious Five, Country Music Star Reyna Roberts, Spigg Nice of Lost Boyz, just to name a few recent ones.

You're currently working on a new album yourself, correct? What information can you tell us at this time?

I'm working on a new project called Dragons Forever. This is currently planned to be an EP release. I'm looking to tell a specific story with this album from an Dragonball anime point of view. I know it sounds crazy reading it, but you will have to hear the direction we take on the project. Anyone who truly loves Hip Hop will feel it. I wont go into too much more detail but we will be going into promotion on this project soon moving the singles through radio.

You're doing your emcee thing on this new project, are you also doing the production?

The production is being handled by DJ Dn3. From the emcee perspective, I think most people don’t know that I am an emcee. I started out in the music industry as an artist and through all of the positions that I have played, I never stopped being one.

What is the feel or the overall vibe you are going for on this next release?

The feel for this project will be a hard, lyrical album for Hip Hop fans and also fans of the Dragonball series. I'm putting this project together to cater to both audiences.

So when putting together an album what does your process consist of?

At this point in my career, There had to be certain motivations to put an album together. With the Dragons Forever project, I was able to formulate an album that allowed me to exist in a world that so many individuals worldwide loved but was almost unrepresented directly in HIp Hop. I plan on telling stories from a character perspective in a very lyrical hip hop format. I'm looking forward to finishing the project and starting the promotion on it.

What is the selection process like for you when choosing artists to reach out to for your album?

I've always been an emcee that looked at lyrical content and rhyme delivery as significant. For this project, I specifically sought out high level emcees to match the strength of the part they will play in each song / story we tell. You might see a high level mc on a song describing a battle scene or a less lyrical delivery on a less powerful scene or character.

Speaking of artists, who are some of the artists that are featured on this upcoming release?

Album produced by DJ Dn3, Chris Nonsenze out of Cali, Kamoni Khem and more coming.

Well Supa, we appreciate your time and we know you are busy putting the final touches together, any final comments you'd like to leave us with?
